The Lochs is a shareblock estate with 20 shares/stands, a farm manager’s house, staff housing and a farm shed. The farm is 352 Hectares in the “Kleinspruit” valley with five dams, the biggest of which is 20 hectares. Four of the five dams are stocked monthly with trout.

 

The farm is only two hours’ drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg and 25 minutes from Dullstroom. The main gate is on the R33 between Belfast and Stoffberg so access is excellent. In addition to great fly fishing the farm is adjacent to forestry areas and offers excellent walking and mountain biking. The variety of wildflowers is another attraction, especially in spring and summer.

We also have fishing rights on the neighbouring farm on 4 to 5 km of the “Grootspruit” which includes a spectacular 50 metre waterfall. In fact, the whole stretch of river provides fascinating pools, cascades and “boulder hopping”.

The farm has a resident farm manager supported by three workers.
